Fone Haus Supports Mother Company – NWTL Feed The Vulnerable Leave a comment

The Namba Wan Trophy Limited (NWTL) Group of Companies through one of its subsidiaries Namba Wan Bake Haus announced a donation of five thousand loaves of bread valued at K14, 000 to the NCD Food Bank today. The donation aims to help ease the daily struggle that the vulnerable are being faced with especially during the current State of Emergency within Port Moresby.

NWTL CSR Committee member and Fone Haus Marketing Manager – Retail, Shulei ToGuata on behalf of the management of NWTL when presenting the donation to Mr. Kinivagi Karo, NCD Food Bank volunteer said that, “NWTL is proud to support the NCD Food Bank initiative and agencies who have partnered together in a time of need. This donation is the initial weekly assistance of a thousand loaves of bread each week that will be distributed throughout the community over five weeks”. The support comes through the Namba Wan Bake Haus as a timely and practical response to the need in the community.

“The situation has hit families hard, some of whom are committed to turning up to our offices every day to ensure we continue to keep our doors open in order to provide quality and varied goods and services to our people across the country. We appreciate our communities and are encouraged by their determination, positivity, and resilience despite the economic strain they are facing. Through this donation, we hope to be able to see the vulnerable including persons living with disabilities, individuals living with chronic diseases such as HIV and Aids and TB, widows, survivors of gender-based violence, pregnant mothers, and the elderly and unemployed youths get through another day.”
